Strategic Program Development

The Gifted Arts Program Improvement Project (2019)
Provided strategic planning services to The Gifted Arts co-founders with the goal of improving fundraising and development. Collaborated to create an updated logic model, mission, and theory of change grounded in research and program data. Created pitch deck and program guides to be used for funder meetings and community engagement opportunities.

Design Thinking Academy School Improvement Project (2018)
Collaborated with consultant team to provide review and recommendations to Design Thinking Academy to improve their school practices and meet grant deliverables. Collected data, including stakeholder surveys, individual interviews, focus groups, and document review to identify strengths and areas of improvement. Provided a presentation and accompanying report that included key data findings and recommended three-year support plan for improving school climate, culture, and curricula.

Ultimate Without Borders Program Improvement Project (2013)
Collaborated with Ultimate Without Borders program leads to redesign curriculum and M&E plan with the goal of improving program outcomes. Ultimate Without Borders is a sports-based youth development program with a mission to increase social emotional development and leadership development through ultimate frisbee and teambuilding activities. Reviewed current program materials and provided feedback and recommendations to infuse evidence-based practices into curricula, facilitator’s guides, coach training, and monitoring and evaluation approach.
Yoga and Teambuilding

MIT Sloan School of Management MBA Program Orientation (2016-2018)
Contracted by Edgework Consulting to facilitate intentionally designed days of teambuilding to cohorts of Sloan School of Management MBA students as part of their orientation week. Program was designed to kick off a year of collaborative cohort work and required providing consistent delivery and coordination with a team of facilitators. Remain on the roster of facilitators, as part of a long-standing partnership between MIT and Edgework.

Yoga on the Pier Philadelphia (2017)
Provided weekly yoga sessions as part of Delaware River Waterfront Wellness Initiative. Intentionally designed classes to be trauma-informed and accessible for all levels.

Wausau East High School Varsity Boys Soccer Teambuilding Day (2014)
Designed and facilitated three-hour sequence of teambuilding activities to build connection, communication, and vision for the varsity soccer season. Participants and coaches reported high levels of satisfaction and positive impact. Gained personal knowledge of popular dance moves.

Citizen Schools North Caroline Staff Development Session (2012)
Designed and facilitated teambuilding session focused on increasing communication and conflict resolutions skills for Citizen School North Carolina central office staff and site leadership teams. Activities allowed for exploration into personal styles and strategizing around group goals and processes to improve team culture and effectiveness.
Professional Development Design and Delivery

University of Pennsylvania Project for Mental Health and Optimal Development (2023)
Designed and facilitated training to support district teams participating in the project’s consortium to increase their implementation of interventions to build mental health capacity. The session focused on an integrated approach to supporting well-being in school communities, with a specific focus on social emotional learning and healing-centered engagement. Participants engaged in experiential learning activities and reflective practice to identify needs and next steps for building alignment and a shared vision across initiatives to increase mental health capacity and well-being in their communities. Participants were highly engaged and left with concrete action items to continue their work.

Girls on the Run Philadelphia Trauma-Informed Coach Training (2018)
Designed and facilitated training on trauma-informed practices for volunteer coaches to meet the expressed need to have tools to support youth who have experienced trauma. Facilitated virtually to provide maximum reach, and provided resources for continuous learning and practice. Participant feedback highlighted usefulness and satisfaction with the training.

LifeWorks Wellness Initiative (2017)
Collaborated with LifeWorks founder to design a workshop series aimed at infusing mindfulness into daily practice for professionals. Provided curricular framework and evidence-based practices to inform program design. Provided ongoing consultation and recommendations for workshop development and assessment.

The Fate Program Mentor Training and Guide (2013)
Collaborated with The Fate Program co-founders to design a mentor training series and guide for University of Michigan student volunteer mentors working with high school students in Detroit as the core component of monthly Fate Program sessions. Used evidence-based practices to develop the training and guide that encouraged culturally responsive practices and best practices in mentorship. The Fate Program launched in 2012 with a cohort of 20 students and 20 mentors, and has grown immensely, with new cohorts every year, and an out of school time facility, with programming aimed at infusing mentorship with social emotional development and project-based learning to support youth in college and career success.
Curriculum Design

Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s College Camp Program (2018)
Provided curriculum design services to revamp Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s National College Camp Program. Infused student-facing and family-facing sessions with interactivity and culturally responsive practices to improve engagement and program impact. As a result of the redesign, workshops delivered across the country received participant feedback averaging in 90%+ reporting high satisfaction with the experience, learning, and usefulness of workshops.

inHerQuests Financial Literacy Program (2016-2018)
Provided curriculum design and program model consultation to inHerQuests, a start-up company with a mission to improve financial literacy for girls by providing resources to bridge education at home and in school. Developed grade level (K-5) curricula using the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC) standards, creating activity boxes for families to complete at home as well as curricula to be implemented in a school or OST setting. Assisted in focus groups, and coordinated with children’s literacy, toy design, and marketing experts to create the desired product. The at home boxes were launched in 2018, and given the cost and market, the CEO decided to transition fully to the school/OST setting. The curricula have since been translated into Arabic and implemented in school programs in Jordan.

Commonwealth Corporation Signaling Success Initiative (2013-2014)
Provided curriculum design services to Commonwealth Corporation to further develop their Signaling Success workforce development program. Utilized research and best practices in project-based learning to develop a developmentally appropriate series of workshops, totaling 150 hours of instruction, to meet workforce development outcomes as part of a four-month workforce placement program for high school students.
Youth and Community Programming

Please Touch Museum Family Wellness Initiative (2017-2020)
Designed and delivered ongoing family yoga series in collaboration with the Please Touch Museum’s initiative to engage families and bolster community wellness. Classes were designed to promote movement, joy, connection, and social emotional development. Participants reported high satisfaction, with one parent sharing, “Animal yoga is way better than adult yoga classes.”

The Be Program Pilot (2017-2018)
Designed and piloted The Be Program, a 20-session yoga-based social emotional development program aimed at middle school youth. Partnered with three out of school time programs to pilot The Be Program to meet their social emotional learning and physical activity program deliverables. Program evaluation showed positive impact on participant well-being. Partners included The Village of Arts and Humanities, Steppingstone Scholars, and McClintock School.
